Project Title: SevenRooms Animated Explainer

Background

Click2View and Visa Worldwide have had a long-standing partnership, in which we have produced multiple forms of content ranging from blogs to podcasts, and even managed large-scale events across regions. 

Brief

Visa wanted us to produce a short and energetic animated explainer video to showcase Cybersource capabilities in the hospitality space. Cybersource is a payments solution that makes accepting payments flexible, seamless, secure, and easy to integrate. Through this explainer video, they wanted to highlight how their solution would enable a frictionless guest and payment experience on one platform in the hospitality sector.

Our team had already produced an overview explainer for Cybersource as a payment solution, but with focus on Visa’s Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA) region instead. This would serve as the key reference and creative benchmark for the Asia Pacific (AP) version that Visa’s AP team commissioned us to produce. 

The client also wanted to feature SevenRooms, one of their strategic partners that helps restaurant businesses organise their reservations. A dedicated section of the explainer was to highlight how the partnership between Cybersource and SevenRooms will aim to augment guest experiences for users. 

The project was managed by Account Director Praveen Jose, with Gisele Suroto as Account Executive. It was creatively led by Creative Director Artur Akhmetzyanov.

Response

The primary challenge of this project was effectively managing inputs and coordination from multiple stakeholders: Visa, Cybersource, and SevenRooms. Our team worked closely with Visa in harmonising this feedback from all three parties to create a coherent and satisfying product for everyone involved.

Crafting the script presented the challenge of integrating a 30-second segment about Cybersource’s strategic partner, SevenRooms, without sacrificing clarity. By carefully incorporating key points about SevenRooms, we ensured the narration remained clear and focused on Cybersource’s core functions, resulting in an informative and succinct explainer video.

Our team paid close attention to the Visa Character Illustrations guidelines, overarching branding for Cybersource and infused a modern touch into the animation to emphasise the cutting-edge financial technology that defined the platform. Details such as icons unique to the SevenRooms and Cybersource brand had to be thought out and customised for the video, blended with seamless transitions.

To ensure that the illustrations and animations would closely follow that of the CEMEA video, we worked with Lemons Studio, one of our long-standing partners in animation.

Outcome 

The Cybersource SevenRooms explainer video we produced wove in the story of a woman’s seamless vacation experience using the Cybersource platform to make payments for various items before and during her vacation to Thailand. 

This visually engaging story illustrates how Cybersource’s modular, seamless and integrated solutions enhance customer experiences and revolutionise the hospitality industry. The video highlights Cybersource’s partnership with SevenRooms, demonstrating how they simplify bookings, payments, and loyalty programs, ultimately setting a new standard for customer experience.

We produced an explainer video that concisely demonstrated the Cybersource solution, while accurately capturing the essence of the brand’s voice.

The three stakeholders in this project were very satisfied with the final product. They expressed that it served their purpose of raising awareness and increasing understanding of the new payments solution very effectively. Visa and Cybersource even decided to commission us localisations for the Thailand, Japan and China markets and asked us to produce a third video about their product, which is currently in production.
