Client: Deloitte
Project Title: Deloitte Day In the Life of an Auditor
Background
Deloitte approached us with its Breaking Professional Stereotypes campaign, a video series designed to demystify auditing, consulting, tax and advisory. Through engaging and educational narratives, the campaign set out to dispel preconceived notions about these jobs that deter potential new hires.
The key message was to show that the profiles were not just overworked squares, but people who can balance books, as well as their personal lives.
Brief
Deloitte initially approached us with this campaign and invited us to pitch for a four-part series. However, after discussions and dialogue with the team, they decided to revise the scope of the project to just commissioning one three-minute video and a 90-second social cutdown.
The project was creatively led by Nadia Carr, field-directed by our former Content Director Alex Chua, and produced by our former producer Jason Foo.
Response
Discussions for the project properly kicked off in July, with the team pitching a variety of concepts for the video. Our video was heavily inspired by the J.W. Anderson interview, In the Studio, produced by The New York Times. The style and look helped to create a more personal and unfiltered tone to the narrative, which made relaying the key messaging much more effective.
Our team worked to a particularly tight deadline, with the talent only confirmed very close to the shoot date. We worked with these constraints preparing narrative scripts to align the content of the story with Deloitte prior to the pre-interview with the client. This planning went a long way in helping all parties align on the video execution.
Outcome
We produced a highly stylised feature of a Deloitte Audit and Assurance Senior Manager, and succinctly captured the dynamism and professional environment of the Deloitte offices, as well as the strong work ethic of its team.
The video was screened at the Big 4 Singapore Universities Recruitment Fair 2023 in the NTU Nanyang Auditorium, where soon-to-be fresh graduates from local universities were given a glimpse of where a career in the auditing industry could take them.
The video also showcases the growth of our creative partnership with Deloitte. How we moved from producing videos which were more “staged” and “corporate”, to videos which were more human-centric with an informal touch.
