Project Title: Prudential Ethics (ECA) Mascot Collaterals Design

Background

Prudential Singapore strives to operate their business in the most responsible and sustainable way, which means holding themselves to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.

The Ethics Department at Prudential Singapore was established to uphold the values laid out in Prudential’s Code of Ethics, and to educate and highlight the company’s commitment to key principles such as integrity, inclusivity, and doing right by customers.

Brief

The Ethics department and the C2V team had previously designed and developed mascots representing each of the key tenets of ethical business practices. We had previously printed stickers of these mascots that were pasted all over the offices of Prudential Singapore, and we also designed a T-shirt for them.

This time, the client requested printing these mascots onto screensavers, posters, as well as practical items like mobile screen cleaner, laptop stickers and travel adaptors. These items could serve as door gifts at training sessions organised by the Ethics team with other departments or agencies.

The project was managed by Edward Finnegan and the Graphic Designers for the posters were Rainhard Susanto and Victor Goh. Designs for the event collateral were created by Yusak Prahadi.

Response

Coordinating between the client and the corporate gift vendors, while closely monitoring the budget, was the key challenge for the C2V team. Some stakeholders had difficulty agreeing on the suitability of certain designs. The team responded to this by diligently and consistently checking in with the client, maintaining clear communication lines throughout the process.

Bearing the delivery deadlines in mind, the team made arrangements for multiple sample deliveries so the client would be able to personally see the development of the products they ordered.

Outcome

These were the deliverables we produced for the client:

Screensavers (Individual mascots and together)
Mobile screen cleaners
A5 sheet set of laptop stickers
Travel adaptors

The client liked the designs of the corporate gifts so much that they decided to stock up on them this year, and ordered more mobile screen cleaners and laptop stickers. They even sent an email directly to our graphic designers Rain and Yosi to express their gratitude and appreciation for the design work.

Our partnership with the Ethics department at Prudential Singapore has always been congenial and collaborative, which means that we get to focus on the creative aspects of the projects.
