Deloitte Opening & Closing Videos for the 2024 SEA Partners Conference

Overview

Click2View partnered with Deloitte for the seventh time to produce a pair of high-impact videos for their annual Southeast Asia Partners Conference 2024. The creative goal was to bring to life the theme of the year: “THINK B2IG”, nodding to the firm’s goal of making S$2 billion by 2027, with the word ‘big’ becoming an abbreviation for “Bold, Brave, Innovative, Growth.”

The videos would serve to energise and inspire senior executives and managing partners attending the event.

Brief

The project involved the conceptualisation and production of:

  • 1 x 30–45 sec opening video
  • 1 x 30–45 sec closing video

We delivered two videos that centred on the key visual motif of a dragon. The dragon would serve as the key visual for the event, and represented prosperity and dynamism.
These videos had the objective of creating visually striking content that would leave a lasting impression on Deloitte’s most senior stakeholders.

While the original scope was clearly defined, both videos evolved significantly over the course of the project, particularly the closing video.

Response

We crafted a compelling narrative around the dragon — a creature symbolising strength, transformation, and forward momentum — which became the central visual device in the opening video.

displaying both strength and benevolence in its air.

The closing video was centered on a tennis character’s journey, as the keynote speaker at the event was legendary Martina Navratilova.

alongside traditional frame-by-frame animation.

Despite tight timelines and scope changes, our team remained agile. We worked closely with our animation partner Hound Studio to deliver highly polished motion graphics, including frame-by-frame cel animation, particle animation and realistic 3D motion tracking.

Process & Collaboration

The project required careful coordination across time zones, with daily feedback loops and an adaptive production calendar. While there were delays from sporadic feedback and evolving scope, the team pushed through 14 versions of the closing video to meet client expectations.

Strong collaboration, proactive project management, and flexibility were key in overcoming these challenges. We also leaned on additional animation support to ensure the videos were delivered in time for the event.

Outcome

The final videos were successfully delivered and screened at the Deloitte SEA Partners Conference 2024, receiving positive feedback from attendees and our client:

“Thank you so much for helping us with this. I don’t know how to express my thanks for making this video and all the other videos work for us! It was really well received!”

to reinforce Deloitte’s vitality and exponential growth in the region.

Despite the extended scope and tight schedule, our dedication to deliver quality animation even when under pressure and our expertise in going the extra mile to ensure client success strengthened our creative partnership with Deloitte.

Our Creative Lead for the project, Artur Akhmetzyanov, said the delivery of the videos was more challenging for the 2024 SEA Partners’ Conference than it had been in previous years. While he noted that the closing video was only delivered on the day of the event, he also highlighted that both videos were delivered to the client’s satisfaction, and that they served as avenues for the creative team to explore various animation techniques and styles.
