Project Title: #BestofTweets
As 2020 came to a close, Twitter, a leading social media platform, wanted to host an end-of-year event that would sum up the year.
Click2View was introduced to this project by The Masterplan, a boutique events agency that we’ve worked with many times before.
For the event, Twitter took inspiration from the trend of celebrities holding online performances during the Covid-19 quarantine. The idea was to recreate a physical entertainment event and deliver the same seamless experience online.
We were brought in to take care of the technical aspects of the project and for any troubleshooting. For example, we were there to give recommendations on which parts of the event could be performed live, and which had to be pre-recorded. Pre-recordings of performances and DJs would be featured alongside live award announcements and presentations.
We also faced some difficulties with the platform of choice, which was not customisation-friendly. However, with some research and effort, we managed to pull through.
Showcalling was also part of our job scope. We were in charge of coordinating the event, taking care of the timing and transitions between each segment and presenter. All of this was done remotely from our own office.
The event was a success and the client was very pleased with the result.
